Restoring Healthy Eating Patterns
How To Clean Up Your Diet
Cleaning up the diet would include the following:
-
Remove or drastically reduce sugars and cow dairy in the diet Eliminate refined white flour. ("The whiter the bread-the quicker you're dead")
-
Eat meat that is appropriate for your metabolic type, chew meat slowly and take digestive enzymes with all cooked food
-
Avoid caffeinated products, alcohol, nicotine, highly processed foods, fried foods (except stir fry done with healthy oils)
-
Stay away from food allergens (kinesiology may identify these)
Healthy food choices
-
Fish (oily deep-sea bony fish - no shellfish) preferably baked
-
Eat more vegetables (70% of the veggie intake should be raw)
-
Raw fruit (eat one fruit by itself and only in the a.m. After eating the fruit, exercise)
-
Use Stevia or Chinese Magic Fruit Extract as a sweetener (or small amounts of honey or organic maple syrup)
-
Try to eat organic foods as much as possible, especially meats and poultry (free range). The U.S. government has proven a more than 70% nutrient loss from fruits, vegetables and grains since 1935. Eat as much organic food as your budget will allow
-
Eat according to "Food Combining" principles as often as possible. Digestive juices are specific to the different food groups and can be weakened when foods are improperly combined. This process may sound difficult at first. The important point is to be aware that it is a helpful framework for reasoning out your own plan. Remember that all healthy food is good for you if it is eaten with a thankful heart!
Food Combining
-
If you eat fruit, don't eat anything else with it. Hints: Melons - eat alone or leave them alone! Eat fruit mainly in the morning. Whatever fruit you choose; eat only that fruit. Do not combine with another fruit.
-
You can have fruit up to 30 minutes BEFORE a meal, but you must wait at least 3 hours AFTER a non-fruit meal before eating fruit.
-
Eat less sweet fruits (for example: eat tart berries, Granny Smith apples and grapefruit).
-
If you eat cereals for breakfast, don't eat fruit with it.
-
Never eat animal source proteins within 3 hours of starches. Animal source proteins are fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, and of course, beef and pork. Starches come from foods like potatoes, rice, pastas, crackers and bread.
-
Try not to eat meat at lunch, just veggies, salads and starches.
-
Eat meats at evening meals. The best animal source protein is fish. 2nd best is chicken and next would be turkey. Beef and pork are hard to assimilate. No fruits or starches are to be eaten with this meal.
-
Meat, fish and other animal source proteins combine well with lean vegetables (i.e. broccoli, salads, squash, kale, green beans, spinach, cauliflower and etc.).
-
Try to rotate foods eaten every 3-4 days. If you eat the same food everyday you may develop allergies to this food.
